Hailing from Manhattan, Kansas, Bill McShane and Nick Colby started Ultimate Fakebook in 1994. Together with former Truck Stop Love drummer, Eric Melin, the band has developed a sharp sense of direction and a focused, song-oriented style and is creating well-crafted tuneful power pop.

There second album, This Will Be Laughing Week, was released in early 1999. They are very well noted in the N Kansas area and have had gigs in from Little Rock, Arkansas, to Youngstown, Ohio.
